REACH which stands for Reistration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. It is a European Union regulation dated on 18 December 2006, which addresses on the production and use of chemical substances and its potential impact on both human and environment. Thus, it is also considered as the control measures used by industry to minimise any risk issues happened in the social and economic aspect.

ROHS which stands for Resriction of Hazardous Substances Directive. It is the European Directive 2002/95/EC that published in the Official Journal of the European Union in February of 2003. The ROHS complaince is meant to reduce the amount of hazardous chemicals used during manufacturing stage.
